How to get Live Messenger to open links when you click on them

Sometimes you can get in a situation where Live Messenger (or MSN Messenger) doesn't open links when you click on them. In order to fix this problem you simply have to set what default browser you want to use in Windows XP.

Go to Start - Set Program Access and Defaults. You can also go there by Control Panel - Add or Remove Programs and click on the Set Program Access and Defaults tab.

Now, in the Choose a default Web Browser, you should select the Web Browser that you want to use.

Click Ok to save the changes.

After this, you should be able to click on links and open them in your web browser when you receive links in Live Messenger.

What is "Currently Listening To" on the front page?
30 September 06 03:16 PM | Magnus @ BassicTech | (Comments Off)

As you may have noticed, there is a new area on the front page.

"Currently Listening To".

This is a new functionality that I am currently developing for the Online Radio Tuner.
It reports back to my server what I am listening to, and the server displays it along with the Album Art.

The CMS system is upgraded.

Today I upgraded the CMS system from Community Server version v2.0 to version 2.1.

If you find something that doesn't work as excpected on the site, please let me know.

We are moving our site

Yes, maybe you have noticed it.

Why ?
Well, one big reason was that our previous hosting company had promised ASP.NET v2.0 support since february 2006, and they have not until this date (13th June) delivered this.

You  may wonder why this is important ?
The main reason is about knowledge about this platform.
In order to develop new features , we want to develop these in ASP.NET / MSSQL Server rather than PHP / MySQL.

Also the previous hosting company shut down the statistics for no feasable reason.

So here we are, with a new hosting company and a new CMS system.
Lets hope everything will turn out good.
