Once in a while ORT drops the connection for some reason and tries to reconnect automatically to the station but it fails everytime. When this happens I have to press the play button and ORT reconnects just fine and restreams the station.

A question, possibly the streaming needs to be buffered?

On which URL ?

The Online Radio Tuner doesn't drop the connection by itself.
If you are having intermittent dropouts in your internet connection this symptom you are describing can happen.

Since I have a very stable ISP, I must come up with different methods on reproducing a instable ISP behaviour.

The connection is fine, nothing else drops out. However in the error log I get:

6/05/2006 11:42:00 PM:Error opening path The operation has timed out

Still the same station as before, Digitally Imported's Trance channel. It seems strange that as soon as it errors out I can manually get it to reconnect again by pressing the play button...

First, my thanks for this great program! 

Have you had any luck figuring out this problem -- I get the "error opening path" problem intermittently when I try to record this URL:

 http://origin.www.cbc.ca/mrl2/livemedia/cbcr1-victoria.asx

 The "error opening path" happens more often when I record from this URL using Windows Scheduler.

 I'm using version 1.1.17.0, Windows XP, SP2, all security upgrades.

Yes, indeed, there are some issues with that station.
