Recording stops after several hours but stream continues to play

    Hey,

What an awesome program, thanks for the hard work !!

I have a weird problem when trying to record an audo stream that is an 'on demand' or archive stream.   The stream is 5 hours long and in 3 attempts to record the entire stream, I have never been able to record it to competion.  Granted, I am not siting in front of the computer for the full 5 hours, but on the first atttempt, the recording stopped and the stream continued to play.  On the second two attempts, I am not sure if the stream continued to play or not, (I was recordng the show overnight).  The second two attemps created a file size of the exact same size, 166,433 KB and the recorded time was almost exactly 3 hours.  Is there a limitation of the size of a file that can be recorded?  A setting I am not aware of?

The URL of the strem is the following ...

    http://www.wdetfm.org/rss/archives/listen.wmx?show_id=6&date=1175313600&show=Alternate Take with Liz Copeland

Your help is greatly appreciated, thanks Cool

HI there. I am glad you liked the program.

However, I have not been able to get Windows Media Player to play these shows.

    Is that the correct URL?

    Oh, sorry.

     Now it works.

For pre-recorded media i think its' better using Flashget program which will get it very fast and w/o loss of quality.

Re: Recording stops after several hours but stream continues to play

I tried using FlashGet but it did not understand the URL.

    Heres the link ...

    http://www.wdetfm.org/rss/archives/listen.wmx?show_id=6&date=1175313600&show=Alternate Take with Liz Copeland

FlashGet only processed this part of the link ...

    http://www.wdetfm.org/rss/archives/listen.wmx

I do appreciate your suggestion however, thank you !!

Re: Recording stops after several hours but stream continues to play - File then exactly = 166,443 KB and is 3 hours long

    Hey Guys,

I have tried using a command prompt and recording from the GUI and I still have the same result ... The file never exceeds and is always exactly equal to 166,443 KB and seems to be almost exactly 3 hours long.

I am using the directives in the readme file and using the following input in a command prompt...

     onlineradiotuner.exe /URL:"http://www.wdetfm.org/rss/archives/listen.wmx?show_id=6&date=1175313600&show=Alternate Take with Liz Copeland" /REC /RECDURATION:18000 /CONTINUOUSLY

The program starts and is clearly recording but the result is the same.

     Please advise ...
