Currently, I have installed the Windows® Live™ Messenger version 8.1 Beta. So far, it has worked without flaws with the Auto Reply Robot.

This is a new tool, an add-in for Windows® Live™ Messenger. It allows you to automatically reply with a user specific message whenever you Windows® Live™ Messenger status is set to busy. EDIT(Oct.30th): Fixed some installation issues. Check it out here.
